About

Drive This World is a country-level travel guide for people who move slowly through the world — by car, bike, motorcycle, or on foot.

Why this site exists

The travel-app world is fragmented. iOverlander covers overland POIs globally but thinly. Komoot covers cycling routes but barely reaches Asia. FarOut nails thru-hiking guides but only for a handful of trails. No one goes deep on a country as a country — with the paperwork, the seasons, the local rules, the language barriers, and the boring logistics that actually make or break a trip.

Where we start

Japan. 1,200+ michi-no-eki. Thousand-year-old pilgrimage routes. The Japanese Odyssey, the Nakasendo, Hokkaido touring, Shikoku 88. Almost none of it documented well in English.

What we don't do

How to help

Sign in and submit a POI you've actually verified. Leave a dated comment on a listing you just visited. Send us trip reports we can republish. The site gets better because travelers make it better.
